The Enchantress by Michael Scott

The final installment of the series The Secrets of The Immortal Nicholas Flamel was definitely not a let down. It is, as all last books should be, fast-paced, action packed, and chocked full of epic battles to the death.

Brave (2012)

You might think this is some kind of Hunger Games rip off but it isn’t. Well yes, they both feature spunky redheads who run about shooting arrows, but really- Brave is almost nothing like the Hunger Games. The Hunger Games is a haunting, disturbing take on humanity, while Brave is a typical Disney feel-good movie with great visuals and insanely cute characters. It’s an ode to mothers that will leave you feeling warm and fuzzy inside (and wishing you had little triplet brothers who turned into bears for a day).

Clarisse and Annabeth

Ok, so there being a sequel to the pretty horrendous Percy Jackson movie isn’t just a bad dream. It’s real, and they’ve started filming a while back.

Before I knock my head on the wall till it bleeds and I die of a concussion, I have to say one thing: the person they casted to play Clarisse is beautiful. Unfortunately, this brings about many complications.

Favourite Fictional Couple Of All Time…

Who’s your favourite fictional couple? The one that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy (and a little jealous) whenever they interact? The one that makes your toes curl inward with pleasure and your heart pound with excitement? The one that makes you sigh with pleasure and wish you found someone like that?

Nope, it isn’t Katniss and Peeta, or Bella and Edward/Jacob, it isn’t James and Lily (well, I only read about them in fanfictions and not the official Harry Potter book series, so they don’t count anyway). For me, it’s definitely Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase, from the Percy Jackson book series by Rick Riordan.

Percy Jackson is funny, charming, reckless, impulsive, and Annabeth is tough, intense, super intelligent, witty, sarcastic. They’ve both carried the weight of the sky on their shoulders for each other (literally), they’ve fought back to back against countless enemies, and sacrificed their lives for each other more times than I’ve eaten pretzels. They also have the best conversations and kisses. If I had conversations/kisses like that, I think I won’t mind having to fight minotaurs and medusas every day. And I wouldn’t need any ambrosia. (sort of like demigod drugs/painkillers)

(here’s a picture I found on the Percy Jackson fandom site and couldn’t tear my eyes from since. Honestly, Rick Riordan should be using these pictures for his book covers and not the weird ones he uses.)
